What is MAC Cosmetics Powder Kiss Lip Set?
This is a lip set by MAC Cosmetics, which includes 6 matte lipsticks. Even though they are called “lipstick”, they are actually highly-pigmented lip creams that provide medium to high opacity with one swipe of the bullet. It comes in six shades including the new (limited edition) shade, Flamingo.

The lipsticks come in a black matte plastic case. Each lipstick bullet is placed on a magnetic sheet inside the case and can be taken off for use. It does seem that MAC Cosmetics took a cue from beauty lovers and put the magnetic sheet into a see-through plastic sleeve for each lipstick. I really like that because it helps to keep dust away from my makeup, as well as keep the lipsticks clean and not scratched.
My take on MAC Cosmetics Powder Kiss Lip Set
I can’t say enough good things about this product. The matte lipsticks feel moisturizing on my lips, and do not make them feel dry, even after hours of wearing. They are highly pigmented and opaque with a single swipe. The formula is very creamy, which makes it easy to apply smoothly.
While the name “Powder Kiss” brings up images of the perfect matte powdery finish of a “matte lipstick” that many love, the formula is not as powdery as I would like. Compared to other matte lipsticks such as those by Makeup For Ever and Illamasqua, these lipsticks feel less powdery and dry on my lips.
